Really fun puzzle. Played a bunch solo (8+) which is really great and I've played at 4 players and it was great at that player count as well. Worst thing about this game is I don't own it ;)
After giving Isle of Cats a couple of plays (including a solo run), I can assuredly say this ranks in my top few polyomino games. Besides the beautifully illustrated cat tiles that you will be placing onto your ship, there is also a nice drafting phase to get "potential" cards for your hand. Cards must be paid for a la Terraforming Mars before they can be used for rescuing cats, played as objectives, gaining treasure, or used for one time bonuses. Each player board is unique and double sided and again, shows off some fantastic artwork. The card deck is deep and offers specific cards for both the solo version and for a lighter, family game. This one is very much a medium-light game that takes no more than an hour to play. I'm excited to see what other content will arrive for this one in the future.
