About Catapult Kingdoms
Catapult Kingdoms is a game for two players that lasts about 15 minutes. Each player takes their side's bricks and troops, and builds their castle according to the placement rules.
Each player has five Action Cards, which let them do things like move three bricks or fire their weapon twice on a turn.
The players also have a working catapult with four rubber boulders, which is placed to the left or right of their player board. Upgraded neoprene game mats are available in the add-on section.
A player's turn consists of four phases: Tactics, Aim, Fire, and Cleanup.
- Tactics Phase: you may play one of your cards.
- Aim Phase: you may reposition your weapon.
- Fire Phase: load a boulder and fire!
- Cleanup Phase: remove bricks that do not lay flat, and troops that have been knocked over.
If a player has no troops standing, they've lost the game!
Catapult Kingdoms comes with:
- 28 bricks, 10 troops, 2 gates,
- 2 catapults, 8 boulders, 4 rubber bands,
- 10 tactics cards, 2 distance markers, 2 player boards, and a rulebook.
The Siege Expansion adds two Balistas, four boulders, and four bricks.
When firing a Balista, you pull back and then release.
Catapult Kingdoms is language independent. The game's components do not have any text. The rulebook inside the box will be in English, French, Spanish, and German. Players will be able to download the rulebook for several more supported languages from the publisher's site.
