#Sid Meier's Civilization: The Board Game, that's a six hour board game right there.

I got that one with both expansions and it's awesome! After playing it a few times we could get a game done in about 4 hours give or take. Great game!

This actually isn't THAT unusual for me... I have a heavy game group that plays things like 18xx, #Food Chain Magnate, etc.But there's more Ameritrashy stuff I'd like to play that takes a while... Sadly, I just sold my copy of #Warrior Knights without ever playing it. Mmm... Let's go with a nice game of #Spartacus: A Game of Blood and Treachery, with painted minis and plenty of beer. :)

100% #Food Chain Magnate long but amazing!

Having recently had this opportunity for an entire day with my wife and 2 friends, I've already exhausted all my go to answers. Namely #Spirit Island, #Food Chain Magnate, and #Imperium: Legends.
I think next on the docket would be some combination of #Gaia Project, #Root, and #Cavum. The first because it is among my favorites and the second two because I own them both and have yet to play them mostly due to time constraints.
Great choices and as I mentioned #Food Chain Magnate is my #1 for this. I am also really pumped for the new one just announced by Splotter Games #Horseless Carriage, those guys can make some fantastic stuff.

I don't care how much time I have, I don't have the attension span for a 6 hour game, I am playing two games of #Terraforming Mars

Just one game, and based solely on what I've played and would love to play some more, it'd have to be #Scythe. I haven't played #Scythe: The Rise of Fenris, but I think that would be fun, too, although I don't know if you can play even half the campaign in six hours.

Hmm, with only 4 players, #Dune is off the table, but that opens it up for other games.

Concordia is great with 4 players. The board and locations really tighten up pretty quick as people expand out. Makes for a very interesting game.
I hope to play it one day soonish! We are moving in a couple of months, so maybe after that we will find some people to play with.
So I actually get this opportunity almost monthly. This past saturday i had 7 of us and we did the first campaign of #Forgotten Waters which took just under 4 hours. I would imagine we could get 2 scenarios completed in 6 hours at 4 players.
I'm also looking forward to getting #War Room to the table and i think the 4 player game of that would take about the 6 hour time limit.
Could also get probably 2 or 3 plays of #GKR Heavy Hitters to the table as well.
Wow that is awesome! War Room looks interesting. Does it play well at 4 players?
I haven't gotten my kickstarter copy yet (June 2022 I hope) but they have different scenarios based on player count so I would assume that as long as we did one of the 4 player scenarios it would be great.
Oh dang, it's listed as a 2019 game. Did they have a 2nd kickstarter run or something?
Yeah they had a 2nd kickstarter this summer. The 2nd edition is cleaning up a couple of minor things from the 1st version as well as providing a couple additional scenarios. My Thursday gaming group is very excited about this one. I think we're going to go out and buy WW2 uniforms for each of our nations for when we play.
Haha, that sounds fun
For me: #High Frontier 4 All with modules 0, 1, & 2. Definitely will eat up that time!
Edit: I was focused on High frontier as I just did a brief review of it but I would also consider #Heroes of Land, Air, & Sea, #Pericles: The Peloponnesian Wars, or #Pendragon: The Fall of Roman Britain.

I had never heard of this one but I just took a look and it does look pretty fun!

I just did a very cursory "review" of it:
R0land's Rambling Reviews: High Frontier 4 All | Board Game Atlas
Which is probably why I picked it.
Now that I think about it I'd probably also consider #Heroes of Land, Air, & Sea, #Pericles: The Peloponnesian Wars, or #Pendragon: The Fall of Roman Britain.

I have yet to play #Twilight Imperium: Fourth Edition, this may be the opportunity.
This would be my choice as well. Of course my friends and I have never played before so I'm sure 1/2 the time would be spent in rules review/explainations.
Definitely a game where you want everyone to read the rules ahead of time. Then you do a brief overview to make sure there are no glaring misconceptions.
A 6 hour game with 4 players seems doable with the latest version although for first time players maybe not. Definitely do not play the long game. :)

#Star Wars: Rebellion, never made it under 5 hours with that one. Or I might might finally attempt #Gloomhaven
lievendv 11 days ago
But Rebellion is a 2 player game :D
#Star Wars Imperial Assault it is!
Haha whoops, didnt even take the four player thing into consideration.
